Visiting Alipay (HK) Limited

The Department of Computer Science organized a student visit Alipay (HK) Limited for an industrial tour and thematic seminar. Led by Dr Chen ZHANG and Dr Ping HU, this activity aims to strengthen university-enterprise interaction and deepen students’ understanding of the development of the fintech industry.
During the sharing session, company representatives introduced the development layout of Alipay e-wallet across Hong Kong, mainland China and overseas markets, including the development of the local electronic payment ecosystem, expansion of cross-border payment scenarios, and strategies for coordinated development among regional markets.


In addition, the sharing covered the latest developments of Ant Bank. It elaborated on the innovative models of digital banks under the compliance framework, and how technology drives the continuous upgrading of inclusive finance and digital financial services.

Through this exchange, students gained further insights into how fintech enterprises achieve sound development by balancing innovation capabilities and regulatory requirements, from the perspectives of technical architecture, system security, data application and the operation of cross-border payment platforms. The activity also helped students integrate professional knowledge of computer science with practical industrial applications, and broadened their understanding of the role of technical talents in the digital economy era.
