Entrance Scholarship

Amount: HKD $96,000 (Local applicant), HKD $120,000 (Non-local Applicant) Eligibility: For local and/or non-local newly admitted MSc-DSAI students Selection criteria: Based on academic merit and admission interview performance

Merit Admission Scholarship

Amount: Ranging from HKD $20,000 to HKD $80,000

Eligibility:

For local and/or non-local newly admitted MSc-DSAI students meeting the following criteria*:

i. a bachelor’s degree with Upper Second Class Honours or above, or a graduation GPA of at least 3.1 (on a scale of 4.0) or a score of 82 (on a scale of 100) from a recognised bachelor’s or master’s degree; AND

ii. the bachelor’s or master’s degree should be either (a) the top 650 in the QS World University Rankings, or (b) the Double First Class University in China (中國「雙一流」建設高校), as of the date of submitting the scholarship application.

*Discretion may be given if the student does not fully meet the requirement but shows outstanding talent and achievements in any one of the following areas:

• Strong research performance, such as publications in recognised venues (e.g. IEEE Transactions, top conferences)

• Major awards received, such as from renowned competitions (e.g. IEEE/ACM organised competitions, China’s national A-Class competitions, HKICT awards)

• Significant contributions at leading companies (e.g. taking part in a key campaign, or serving as managerial role or above at Fortune Global 500 companies / Fortune 100 Fastest-Growing Companies)

• Notable practical projects (e.g. creation and/or launching of applications / providing technical support in China or Greater Bay Area Mega Projects)

Selection Criteria:

Based on academic merit, achievements, and admission interview performance.

Distinguished Graduate Scholarship

Amount: HKD $8,000 (Excellence award), HKD $3,500 (Merit award)

Eligibility: Completion of 8 MSc-DSAI modules

Selection criteria: Average GPA≥3.6 (Excellence award) / 3.4≤ Average GPA < 3.6 (Merit award)

HSUHK ‘Alumni Fee Reduction Scheme’

Amount: HKD $19,200 (Local applicant), HKD $24,000 (Non-local Applicant)

Eligibility: HSUHK graduate or HSUHK / HSMC / HSSC Alumni

Selection criteria: Nil

Postgraduate Summer School Scholarship

Amount: Full coverage of programme fee
Eligibility:

i.Full-time taught postgraduate student

ii.Nomination by the respective Schools

Selection criteria：

i.CGPA≥3.3

ii.English proficiency : Sufficient fluency for full participation in discussions, workshops, and group work

(In 2025/26, four DSAI students were sponsored for summer programmes at UCL and Oxford)

Hong Kong Future Talents Scholarship Scheme for Advanced Studies

Amount: Up to HKD $100,000
Eligibility: Local applicants
Selection Criteria: Based on academic achievements and interview performance
Disbursement: After successfully complete the programme and achieve a minimum cGPA of 2.7 upon graduation
In Academic Year 2025/26, 8 students from this programme were successfully nominated
