The Department of Computer Science at the HSUHK is dedicated to enhancing the comprehensive capabilities of our students. We recognize the importance of Cantonese for non-native speakers in their future development and strong Cantonese proficiency can also significantly boost students’ confidence in both academic and career prospects.

This year, as in previous years, we have offered a Cantonese tutorial class, taught systematically by faculty from the Department of Chinese. This tutorial class employed real-time interaction to teach Cantonese Pinyin, daily language, and Hong Kong local culture.

We look forward to students continuing to enhance their Cantonese skills outside the classroom!
